To celebrate the anniversary of Albert Einstein's amazing annus mirabilis,
or "year of wonders” some of Einstein’s key experiments
will be recreated live on stage at the Powerhouse Museum with renowned British
Astrophysicist, Malcolm Longair.
Malcolm Longair is the Jacksonian Professor of Natural Philosophy and head
of the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. He is a highly
noted Astrophysicist and has contributed to NASA’s Hubble telescope
project and the European space agency program. He has published eight books
including Theoretical Concepts in Physics, Alice and the Space Telescope
and Galaxy Formation. This enthusiastic and energetic Professor will be presenting a hands on
demonstration of some of the key experiments related to Einstein’s
work - some of the greatest Physics experiments of all time.
